day 1 in tech team
Spent a day with my team. Took stock of what we knew, what we had to do, time available and how to overcome mistakes and shortcomings faced in the last held fest - Nirmaan 2004.
The language - jargon rather, floating around triggered some thoughts in me. The jargon made me feel at home - though I missed the deeper levels of the stream. Its what I am naturally interested in. Maybe one day, I too will learn those skill sets - programming languages, scripting in PHP, perl, python, MySQL database server… But then, I can’t forget my selected stream, can I? It would be a betrayal. So, I guess, developing proficiency in my parallel (w.r.t my degree course) skill sets will be just that - parallel. But damned if I let go of them.
end of the week
Finally got time to write something. And its an explanation for why I didn’t write sooner. My schedule in this week was… get up as early as possible… get to college… do some or no work there… stay there as long as possible… hence come home as late as possible… early dinner… check mails… chat with friends… remember that you have to go to college early tomorrow… go to sleep. (full stop)
This is a vacation. Wonder how it will be when college starts.

Well, things are on the roll, and not a day too soon. I’m on the tech team - its supposed to look after stuff like PCs and parallel-port connected buzzers. And thats all.
Oops, the things are rolling for SPACE 2005, our annual cultural extravaganza.
